The return of--the Blog

For more than 10 years, SEED 415 students put together homepages. A homepage might still be useful, but there are lots of other tools that might suit your classroom purposes better, e.g., the blogs that you started creating last week.  Please add a comment here giving the URL of your blog.  Look at the other student blogs and add your comment to at least one post on each blog.

After you have finished creating your "dummy" blog, check out some of the resources Laura talked about in class today.  Which of these resources are you most likely to use in the classroom?

  3. I find the South Dakota and National Archives would be best suited for me or others for researching topics. I feel that this would be the site I would use most in my classroom.

  4. I am not scared of new technology, but I like to stick with what I know. wwww.Archive.org is a great resource that I have used in the pas, and now knowing what else it has to offer, I'll be back. I looked at xtimeline but not at timetoast, the timeline creaters. I've always loved timelines as a way to keep events organized.

  6. http://www.genealogybank.com is may favorite site for reseraching projects. Downside, it costs money, but provides a lot of newspaper articles and other material for researching.

  7. I liked a couple of the items provided in class today. Firstly, I thought timetoast.com was a simple and clever way to get the students involved in their learning while using technology. For myself I liked the courser.org! How sweet is it that you can take college courses for free?!
